Manager, Large Loss Claims

About the Role:

We are looking for a leader who is ready to take on claims resolution for complex issues across the US & Canada! As a Claims Manager, you will lead highly technical teams exposed to exciting issues with the chance to develop innovative paths for claim resolution alongside one of the most talented Claims organizations and stakeholders in the shared economy. What You'll Do:

  • Develop and implement large loss consultation strategies for management of high exposure Uber claims
  • Collaborate with US & Canada insurance partners on claim resolution strategies
  • Manage performance of highly skilled individual contributors to achieve positive claims outcomes, while supporting their growth and development in the organization
  • Be the subject matter expert on Uber's commercial policies and insurance programs while appropriately escalating coverage concerns and/or contractual issues that may arise
  • Identify and resolve coverage issues in collaboration with the legal team, while driving alignment on claim strategies with Uber's Insurance Litigation team
  • Be prepared, focused and concise when facilitating large loss roundtables, quarterly business reviews and file review claim trend summaries
  • Validate data and maintain impeccable data integrity
  • Prepare and deliver communications and presentations to senior leadership representing results and future strategies

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years in a Large Loss leadership role specializing in Commercial Auto
  • Expert level knowledge in coverage and claim evaluation
  • Data driven strategic and operations decision-making successes
  • Experience working with Google Suite or similar computer tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of high-exposure, commercial auto claims handling
  • 5+ years of high-exposure/complex claims leadership
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Outstanding prioritization and organizational skills
  • Project Management skills including the ability to develop and implement robust project plans
  • AIC, SCLA, CPCU or legal degree are a plus
