APAC Brand Marketing Lead - Mobility

About the Role

We're looking for experienced Marketing professionals and strategic thinkers to join the APAC Mobility marketing team at Uber. As our region emerges from Covid, new consumer habits and expectations are emerging for Uber to play a deeper role in helping people get anywhere and navigate everyday life. Our team is responsible for developing strategies and programs to help shape Uber's long term actions around safety, social impact and sustainability; APAC product marketing for Uber's suite of hailable and other new mobility products; and ecosystem marketing to help make Uber the best place to earn flexible work. Reporting into the APAC Head of Mobility Marketing, you will develop marketing strategies, support country teams to develop world-class integrated marketing campaigns, and collaborate with global and cross-functional partners including Policy, Comms, Product, Operations to create the future of the brand. What You'll Do:

  • Brand and Marketing Strategy: Develop a deep understanding of country and regional priorities including consumer insights, brand metrics, user segmentation, business targets, P&L, growth bets. You will work on a range of marketing strategies to strengthen Uber's mobility growth, product roadmap, earner growth and brand acts. KPIs will include brand health, product trial, trips.
  • Global collaboration: Act as a trusted thought partner for country heads of marketing. Serve as a conduit between the central & country teams to ensure alignment of regional activities with global brand strategy. Champion regional asks and needs, surface insights, feedback and learnings from countries to ensure global work streams are regionally informed. Manage and coordinate localisation of relevant global content where needed across multiple regional markets.
  • Lead APAC innovation and pilots: Advocate for innovation relevant to regional market needs, develop product marketing and ecosystem strategies for APAC's growth bets.
  • Set high bar on media, measurement and inclusion: Partner with central service teams and agency partners to ensure best in class media planning, rigorous measurement, and inclusive creative work. Share learning agendas regularly to accelerate learning.
  • Planning: Lead a bi-annual planning exercise to ensure continuous shaping and growth of Uber in APAC. Build sound business cases for required marketing investment and product needs.
  • Regional collaboration and cadence: Partner and collaborate in a matrix environment with Ops, Sales, Marketing, Analytics, Finance, senior leadership across the region and in HQ to set clear marketing objectives and then coordinate with cross functional stakeholders to deliver monthly cadence of business and marketing reporting, highlighting learnings and needs.

What You'll Need:

  • 8+ years of brand, product and digital marketing experience. Preferably experience in a fast-paced environment, driving innovation, shaping culture, building brand through acts not just ads.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or similar, and a demonstrated ability in quantitative fields.
  • Strong business acumen; project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Structured and analytical thinking with the ability to simplify complex data and make simple data compelling.
  • Superb communication, collaboration and stakeholder management across cultures and functions.
  • Excellent creative judgement and the ability to bring to life the Uber brand in a way that is both consistent with our global brand positioning but also meaningful to local culture and customs.
  • A strong customer-centric mindset - you are always thinking about how our customers interact with the brand.
  • A sense of adventure - the ability to take the initiative in a constantly-changing work environment and a willingness to adapt and adopt a generalist mindset.
