About the team

The Community Operations team at Uber focuses exclusively on ensuring all of our customers have the best experience. Providing premier customer support to riders and Earners is a core feature of our product experience. The Employee Experience Team within Community Operations enables and supports leaders to foster highly engaged teams by providing insights and resources to engage, develop, and champion diversity across US&C CommOps. We put people at the heart of everything we do.

About the role

Uber is looking for an Employee Experience Specialist to support employee experience programs that range from engagement, recognition, wellbeing, and diversity & inclusion. This role supports a diverse set of projects and programs that enable the US&C Community Operations team to continue to grow, develop and foster a great company culture. If you are interested in being an integral part of helping shape Uber's employee experience and moving the organization forward in a meaningful and measurable way, this is the role for you.

What you'll do

  • Champion our culture, company mission, vision, purpose and values to internal and external audiences
  • Build hybrid workforce experiences that enhance our culture, build empathy and the connection between employees
  • Be attuned to the specific needs of Uber's culture, identify root causes of engagement issues, and support Program Managers to address them
  • Support and manage task driven programs; coordinating logistics and planning events in various Uber cities
  • Collaborate with business leaders and cross-functional teams on identifying, documenting and adopting best practices for employee engagement and retention
  • Create team and org-wide communications on events and initiatives using various formats including internal communications and marketing

What you'll need

  • 2+ years in project management, office management, team administration, event planning; ideally from a startup/tech environment
  • High energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally and efficiently
  • Superior organizational skills and impeccable follow-through on tasks
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking
  • Thoroughly plan and implement programs with multiple work streams and dependencies and ensure that end-to-end strategy is accomplished

Bonus points if

  • A high level of proficiency with Google Suite Applications or Microsoft Office
  • Confidently present material to large audiences virtually and in-person
