Uber's marketing teams play a critical role in driving growth & trust for our business in the markets & communities we operate in. This is a unique opportunity to lead social media for Uber in India, South Asia. You will be at the intersection of global, regional and cross functional country teams, shaping our social & digital footprint in India, South Asia.

What the Candidate Will Do

  • Social Calendars - Manage the regional social editorial calendars and ensure the integration of brand, product & social impact initiatives
  • Content development - Coordinate social content development and lead the content development process with our India social agency
  • Measurement - Report on performance indicators like social sentiment, brand favorability and trust on a monthly basis, and explain the implications of results to craft future work.
  • Social Listening- Being the voice of our customers: riders & drivers, & our communities & coordinating with the SoRT teams to lend customer support & manage ORM
  • Processes - Implement global processes, tooling, and best practices to optimise & improve the social charter
  • Integration with brand & product marketing-Liaise with the India brand, safety and product marketing managers to optimize campaign creatives for social channels
  • Agency management - Manage the relationship with our social agency, ensuring consistency in approach and process across brand & social through the year

Basic Qualifications

  • At least 5+ years of experience working with social media channels and working on creative and innovative social media campaigns preferably in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong track record of executing clutter breaking & culture shaping creative campaigns
  • Deep understanding of leveraging social in integrated marketing campaigns
  • Strong track record integrating social with brand strategy & campaigns & demonstrating brand uplift & business results
  • Strong project management skills, experience with managing multiple projects with tight deadlines
  • The ability to take initiative in a constantly changing work environment
  • Specialist in developing social marketing strategies that are native to each channel and that can deliver tangible results
  • Experience being a great partner with external and internal agencies/design teams to brief and lead original content

What the Candidate Will Need

  • Ability to collect, analyze, and use social data to inform decision making
  • At the groundbreaking of social trends and culture, knowing how to credibly and sensitively harness them while maintaining brand safety and values
  • Deep understanding of how paid and organic content and strategies work together
  • Experience working for a global brand or matrixed organization will be a plus
