Global Sales Compensation Lead, New Verticals Sales Operations

We're looking for a Sales Compensation Lead to design, roll out, and support the maintenance and enhancements of our global Sales Incentive Plans across the New Verticals organization.

This role will work closely with Compensation Admin, HR, Sales Leadership and in-market Sales Operations program teams to ensure alignment of Sales Incentive Plans with business objectives. We're looking for someone with strong problem solving skills, attention to detail, thought leadership, and with the ability to shift between the high level picture and detailed operations seamlessly.

The scope of this role is global, currently focused on the 11 priority markets of the US, Canada, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Costa Rica, UK, FR, Australia, Japan and Taiwan. At onset, it will be an individual contributor role but is likely to grow quickly to manage a small team of Compensation Managers.


  • Key contributor in developing and executing sales compensation plans across New Verticals markets
  • Own the plan design, simulations, offline calculations, training, participant support and attainment calculation
  • Collaborate with local Sales Operations teams to ensure target setting process is aligned with sales incentive quotas and policies
  • Partner with the Global Compensation team to ensure proper governance and controls when launching and administrating existing sales compensation plans
  • Partner with the Xactly IT Engineering team to migrate incentive plans into Xactly tools
  • Design compensation metrics, reports, and tools to inform program decisions and forecast or analyse business outcomes
  • Track sales compensation plans results to ensure alignment to overall business goals and best market practices
  • Participate in the ongoing development of sales compensation plans as the sales organizations mature


  • A minimum of 8+ years of experience in sales compensation, sales operations, finance or a related field
  • Experience launching a new sales compensation plan or shifting a sales organization from an annual plan to a sales incentive plan
  • Experience running other incentive initiatives such as a SPIF or SIP flex


  • Experience querying/analysing very large data sets using SQL
  • Experience with Xactly software, or similar, is a bonus
  • Attention to detail; ensuring numbers/metrics are accurate and are reviewed/delivered on time to key stakeholders
  • Solid analytical abilities; ability to self-serve, investigate and get the data required to help inform decisions
  • Consultative Change Management when rolling out new or enhancing current sales compensation plans
  • Experience working closely and communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders in an ever-changing, rapid growth environment with tight deadlines
  • Ability to manage and develop team members to drive results through people.
  • Effective at implementation of complex programs and initiatives through collaboration across functions, geographies, and organization levels
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
