About the Role

APAC Community Operations is responsible for providing world-class customer care globally. The Strategy & Planning Lead will deliver high-priority strategic programs across the APAC CommOps organization. While working with teams around APAC and the globe, this role will apply expert project and program management skills to lead the annual and bi-annual planning processes and launch top-priority complex APAC projects to materially improve Uber's support operations.

You will help support leadership in company-wide decision-making through your critical thinking, strategic, and data-driven approach. You should have excellent problem-solving, time-management, business planning, and cross-functional leadership skills, and the ability to clearly articulate and present information to stakeholders at all levels of the business.

What You'll Do

  • Facilitate the annual, and bi-annual strategic planning cycles, inclusive of overseeing APAC inputs to global product/ tech roadmaps
  • Drive strategic accountability by leading the quarterly, monthly, and weekly operating cadences and leadership forums
  • Deliver end-to-end program management for large-scale, high-impact initiatives that are important to the success of APAC CommOps
  • Identify operational gaps, improve, and pioneer processes to drive efficiency across APAC Community Operations
  • Develop executive-level communications and presentations for Uber's leadership to drive key stakeholder alignment to ensure initiatives are connected to larger customer support goals
  • Provide actionable thought leadership on problems without precedent
  • Lead all aspects of the internal communications function for a 2500+ strong organization; ensure communications are compelling and tailored to different audiences and situations
  • Lead a team of 5 Strategy & Planning Associates and 5 Program Specialists

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business / Economics, or other quantitative fields
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience, of which 2 years of strategy, operations consulting experience, and/or business planning or budget process.
  • 2-3 years direct people management experience
  • Experience in communicating with and presenting to senior leaders
  • Experience collaborating and influencing others in a cross-functional team.
  • Ability to own and execute multiple strategic projects/programs while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Experience with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced skills in data analysis; skills in using Excel and PowerPoint
