Uber Eats Japan Operations Manager

To strengthen the user experience of Uber Eats, drive tangible business outcome by improving conversion and retention of eaters

Responsibilities

  • Insight generation to improve consumer lifecycle, improve the Uber Eats app's UX/UI, and the testing of new app features.
  • You will go deep into the user experience of consumers through both quantitative and qualitative data and identify the biggest opportunity areas.
  • You will work closely with teams such as Product, CommOps, Marketing, Territory Ops and Marketplace to be the voice of our customers and launch initiatives that improve the platform experience.
  • You will plan, develop and execute projects including, but not limited to, Segmentation Strategies and Personalized Experience development, Educational Campaigns, Incentivization Programs, and the like.
  • You will influence both internal and external stakeholders and collaborate across a wide variety of functions and levels.

How To Succeed

  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working closely with product team and engineers to deliver and evolve features
  • Ability to analyze data in SQL and advanced excel (Google Sheets) with an analytical mindset.
  • Strong organization, planning and project management skills.
  • Excellent in presentation and verbal/written communication.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects in parallel without compromising the quality of deliverables while bringing innovative ideas to your work.
  • To be a self-starter and highly motivated; capable of working independently, yet collaboratively, within a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a positive, proactive and energetic approach to work.
  • English fluency - reading, written, and spoken (Business-level Japanese is a huge plus!).
  • Able to identify business problems and potential solutions based on segmentation data and frameworks.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • 3-4 years of experience in data-driven marketing, CRM and/or operational roles.

Desired Qualifications

  • Project management experience
  • Japanese capability
