Product Management, Product
New York, New York |
San Francisco, California |
Toronto, Canada

About the Role

The Rider Trip Experience PM is dedicated to building magical experiences for our riders. We work with partners in design, research, and data science teams - and across product teams within the company - in order to understand customer needs. We then design holistic solutions to address them. As a result, your work will touch millions of riders a day, and is something your friends and family will experience.

What you'll do:

  • Own the end-to-end experience for the core trip flow in the Rider app
  • Develop a strategy for increased engagement via on-trip experiences
  • Design elevated experiences for our high frequent riders
  • Partner with design, research, data science, engineering, and other PM partners to understand user needs and pain points, and then design holistic solutions to address them
  • Work with product teams around the company to understand their use cases and integrate them appropriately in the Rider app

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of delivering highly successful and innovative products with your fingerprints all over them -- and you're deeply proud of what you've accomplished.
  • A passion for user experience: you can both guide design priorities for the team, and have an excellent sense of experience principles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • You can get the data you need and can whip it into an insightful story with no help. You have experience running rigorous multivariate testing and experimentation.
  • Mobile app/UX experience to define frictionless and delightful trip experiences
  • Experience working with UX researchers and designers
  • Customer empathy - Understanding end-user satisfaction and the ability to measure it in an impactful way.
  • Computer science undergraduate degree or equivalent plus hands-on software engineering experience. Technical understanding should span from the highest levels of Analytical chops. You live and breathe data. You find a way to get the data you need and whip it into an insightful story with little to no help. You know how to wield it but also where it can lead you astray.
  • Biased towards action, great collaborator, and an excellent disambiguator/simplifier - constantly pushing toward clarity and delivery. You persevere when others give up.
  • Strong communication & partnership skills - this will be an extremely cross-functional role, with more than a handful of core stakeholder teams.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and a thirst for learning and building strategic differentiators.
  • Experience working on Transportation and logistics
