Prague Airport visitor information

Václav Havel Airport Prague was inaugurated in 1937 and has since grown to be one of the most important airports in the Czech Republic, seeing more than 15 million passengers every year. A second terminal was added in 1968, and the airport now hosts nearly 70 airlines that fly to more than 160 international destinations. Prague Airport is located about 18 kilometers (11 miles) to the west of the center of Prague, making it about a 30-minute Uber trip away. It is also well situated for passengers traveling to nearby places such as Český Krumlov, Karlovy Vary, and Pardubice.

Prague Airport terminals

Prague Airport has 2 main passenger terminals: Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Terminal 1 is used for flights to countries outside the Schengen Area. Travelers to countries inside the Schengen Area will fly from Prague Airport Terminal 2.

Terminal 1 hosts one lounge, and Terminal 2 hosts 2—and all offer a quiet place to relax or work before a flight. The lounges provide all-inclusive refreshments, television, wifi, a children’s corner, printing facilities, and showers. They can be accessed for a small fee payable on entry.
