Narita Airport visitor information

Narita Airport is Japan’s 2nd-busiest airport servicing the greater Tokyo area. NRT is about an hour-and-a-half drive in ideal road and traffic conditions from central Tokyo, which is located more than 60 kilometers (40 miles) west of the airport.

Narita Airport terminals

Narita Airport consists of 3 terminals: Terminals 1, 2, and 3. Terminal 1’s North Wing is arranged for SkyTeam carriers, while the South Wing is for Star Alliance carriers. Terminal 2 is for oneworld carriers, and Terminal 3 is exclusively for low-cost carriers, such as Jetstar Japan and Vanilla Air. Lounges are located only in Terminals 1 and 2.

Dining at Narita Airport

Narita offers a wide variety of dining options, including bars, cafes, and restaurants. For those travelers looking to grab a bite to eat before heading through security, go to the Airport Mall located between the North and South wings in Terminal 1 and near the South Wing in Terminal 2. A food court can be found next to the departure lobby in Terminal 3.

Getting around Narita Airport

Narita offers free terminal shuttle buses between all 3 terminals that run every 10 minutes or less. Head to your terminal’s arrival lobby on the first floor to find the shuttle bus stops.

Currency exchange offices are located throughout Narita and can be easily found on the departures floor of each terminal.
