Düsseldorf Airport visitor information

Düsseldorf International Airport opened in 1927 but was closed for civil aviation during World War II. Civilian passengers returned to DUS in 1949, and since then it has grown to become the largest airport in the North Rhine–Westphalia region, with more than 24 million passengers through its doors annually and 70 airlines flying to 200 destinations worldwide. DUS Airport is located approximately 10 kilometers (6 miles) north of Düsseldorf’s city center, a journey of about 20 minutes in ideal traffic conditions, making the Uber app a great choice for your trips to and from the airport.

DUS Airport has one terminal divided into 3 gates: Gate A, Gate B, and Gate C. All gates are attached to the main terminal and are easily navigable on foot.

Assistance is available for passengers with reduced mobility, designed to make their trip through the airport as easy and convenient as possible. This needs to be requested through your airline or tour operator at least 48 hours in advance of flying.
