Denver International Airport (DEN) serves metropolitan Denver, Colorado, and is the 20th-busiest airport in the world and the 5th-busiest in the US. It is located about 25 miles (40 kilometers) northeast of downtown Denver, a drive that takes about 30 minutes in ideal road and traffic conditions.

Getting around Denver Airport
DEN Airport transportation is provided by its own subway system called the Automated Guideway Transit System (AGTS). The AGTS links Jeppesen Terminal with the A, B, and C concourses and gates—in fact, it’s the only way to access Concourses B and C. Four stations serve the concourses and main terminal building.

Additionally, 92 places to shop include electronics, gift, candy, and jewelry stores. Denver International Airport also runs an art exhibition program, with several permanent exhibits and various rotating ones. These are located throughout the airport, from outdoor areas to the concourses, and even on the trains and in the train tunnels. During the winter holiday season, DEN has its own ice-skating rink in the Plaza that hosts events such as figure skating and ice hockey teams.
