Bratislava Airport visitor information

M.R. Štefánik Airport opened in 1951 and has since grown to be the largest international airport in the Slovak Republic, handling more than 2 million passengers every year. The airport is located about 10 kilometers (6 miles) northeast of Bratislava’s city center. The journey takes around 20 minutes in ideal traffic conditions, making Uber a great choice for your transfers to and from the airport. BTS Airport is also a popular destination for passengers traveling on to Vienna and Budapest.

Free assistance is on offer for passengers with reduced mobility. This should be requested at least 48 hours in advance of flying.

BTS Airport doesn’t have its own hotel, but there are several located nearby, which would be ideal for passengers with early-morning flights or short layovers.
