Belfast Airport visitor information

Belfast International Airport was established as a training ground for the Royal Flying Corps in 1917 and is now Northern Ireland’s primary airport and the second-largest gateway into Ireland. BFS is located approximately 30 kilometers (19 miles) east of Belfast city center, a journey of about 30 minutes, making Uber the best choice for a quick and convenient transfer.

A visit to the Belfast Airport lounge lets you start your trip off in style and escape from the busy terminal while you wait for your flight. The lounge offers high-speed wifi, charging points and power outlets, daily newspapers, and magazines. Guests can also enjoy a buffet offering a selection of hot and cold food, coffee, tea, soft drinks, and alcoholic beverages. You can pay on arrival or book in advance.

Services at BFS

BFS has plenty of facilities and services to assist passengers. A tourist information office located in the arrivals hall provides information about travel, accommodations, and visitor attractions. Baby-changing facilities are located throughout the airport, and a quiet room for contemplation and prayer is situated in the arrivals hall. Passengers with reduced mobility will be provided assistance when required on their journey through the airport. Please inform your airline or tour operator at least 48 hours in advance of flying if you require help.

Belfast International Airport hotels

BFS Airport has one hotel on-site, located a 2-minute walk from the terminal. A few more options can be found on the main route leading from the airport toward Antrim and Templepatrick, but most are situated within the city of Belfast itself, which is just a quick Uber trip away.
