We have received reports that a group of individuals have gone offline (not using the Uber app) on Monday, 30 September 2019.

We respect everyone’s right to peaceful protest and are committed to doing as much as possible to ensure that Uber is and remains a meaningful earning opportunity for driver-partners.

Driver-partners are important to us and there are a number of ways they can speak to Uber about their individual concerns and our partner support team operates 24/7. Uber succeeds when our partners succeed, which is why we are always exploring new ways for partners to grow and succeed in their small businesses. 

Our Community Guidelines highlight our zero tolerance policy with respect to intimidation of any kind. Such individuals and their actions do not represent the Uber driver-partner community, and such actions are contrary to our community guidelines. Please report in-app if you experience intimidation of any kind. 

In an effort to make sure that we effectively serve our riders and driver-partners alike, we are working on resuming normal operations.
