The trip options on this page are a sample of Uber’s products, and some might not be available where you use the Uber app. If you check your city’s web page or look in the app, you’ll see which trip types you can request.
Easy to book
Update the Uber app to the latest version. Open the app, switch to the Bike and scooter view, then follow the instructions to book the nearest scooter.
The feeling of electric
Experience the fun of an electric scooter – when you use the accelerator, you’ll feel the boost.
Ride smart. Ride safely.
We recommend that you wear a helmet, follow local traffic laws, give way to pedestrians and watch your speed. Avoid riding scooters down steep hills.
How to ride
Reserve or walk up
Switch to the Bike and scooter view in the Uber app and reserve a nearby electric scooter, or simply walk up to the vehicle to get started.
Scan the QR code on the handlebars to unlock and go. We encourage you to wear a helmet.
While you ride
To brake, squeeze the lever down on the left handlebar. To go, press the lever down gently on the right handlebar. Start slowly – the scooter can move fast.
Make sure you park in the correct area shown on the map in your app – and not in any no-parking areas. Don’t block pathways, ramps or any areas that need to be used by people with accessibility needs. Consult your city council’s website for rules on where scooters may be used.
Lime scooters also available in the Uber app*
Make sure you have the latest version of the Uber app. Simply open the app to find an electric scooter near you. Scan the QR code using your Uber app, or enter the 6-digit vehicle identification number manually.
