Driving at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG)

Airports can be complicated places, especially for drivers. But knowing the basics, and getting information in advance about your local airport, can help make sure you’re prepared for your first pickup or dropoff.

Airport regulations

Drivers using the Uber application cannot remain parked near airports waiting for a customer. As such, parking in car parks is prohibited without proof of service provision (purchase order). Any contravention of the law is punishable by a fine of €15,000.

To wait for an order, you must therefore be located off the roadway, and outside the airport area. We are currently actively working to offer you private parking near airports.

Uber zone for Charles de Gaulle

When driver-partners are online and enter the Uber zone, they are automatically entered into an electronic queue:

  • ELECTRONIC QUEUE: first come, first served. Races are given in order of finish.
  • UBER ZONE: The position in the waiting list progresses regardless of location in the Uber zone. Your approximate location is given to you
  • ZONE WITHOUT ORDERS: You are in the queue but you cannot receive orders (the application will invite you to move outside this zone)
  • EXCEPTION: To improve the experience of drivers and customers, you have priority (at the head of the queue) for 10 minutes following a customer drop-off.

Above are examples of what you will see in the app depending on your location in the airport area

**We recommend that you do not wait at airports. **
