What you will do:
Enable product managers, data scientists and engineers to “do the right thing with” data
Provide on the job training and advice on privacy and data protection by design
Provide input to, feed-back on and reviews of Data Protection Impact Assessments
Provide solicited and unsolicited advice on the application of GDPR and ePrivacy
Represent Uber externally at privacy & data protection related events and round tables
Who you are:
You have more than 12 years of relevant professional experience
You have strong written and oral communications skills
You build bridges between lawyers, data scientists, engineers and are able to get your point across with business executives
You are a diplomat, yet firm when needed
You posses a thorough understanding of GDPR and ePrivacy and their background
You have a good understanding of how information technology, software engineering and data governance work and you are able to “follow the data”
You are able to see the bigger picture, yet always prepared to dig deep into the details that matter
You have an academic degree in law, business administration and/or computer science
Having CIPP/E or similar qualification is a bonus
You are available to travel to the US and across the EU
You thrive working in a young, global, fast growing company where dust doesn’t settle
