About the Role
We are looking for a Dubai based, law enforcement professional, who will be responsible for leading Uber's relationship with law enforcement and security leaders across the Middle East, Africa and Pakistan.
Guide and advise the business alongside legal and privacy to ensure user data privacy.
Engage and partner with the law enforcement community to enhance safety.
Develop innovative solutions to promote Uber’s commitment to transparency.
What You’ll Do
In partnership with the head of EMEA law enforcement operations, define and deliver on MEA strategy, regional objectives and key results.
Liaise with law enforcement leaders, promoting a positive and collaborative relationship.
Manage and lead a growing team.
Support the business by working with policy and legal to arrange robust and scalable data sharing processes.
Plan and deliver educational programs for law enforcement personnel on our process for data sharing in response to legal requests.
Collaborate with our security team to minimise threats to our people and places.
Travel throughout MEA as needed - Approx 20% of your time, up to four days at a time.
What You’ll Need
15+ years of investigations experience within law enforcement or similar.
Confident, professional, Arabic and English speaker.
Comfortable interacting with senior law enforcement personnel.
A pre-existing working relationship with one or more major Middle Eastern law enforcement agencies.
Experience working with other governmental teams such as data protection authorities, embassies, and security agencies. The ideal candidate will have a hybrid of government and private sector experience.
Flexibility and willingness to travel and work off hours, including weekends and occasionally holidays, in order to support emergency matters and interact with globally based company employees.
