The Uber Safety & Insurance organization is responsible for further developing, creating and constantly innovating on processes and products to ensure Uber continues to be a safe transportation option for riders and drivers. In addition, the team is responsible for ensuring that the public sentiment of safety is commensurate with how safe the Uber platform truly is. To help us craft this narrative, champion initiatives and execute on winning strategies, we’re looking for a standout person to join our global brand marketing team to drive awareness at a global scale of our law enforcement and crime prevention partnerships and initiatives.

What you'll do

  • Own audience insights - Synthesize consumer insights and industry perspectives on key aspects of trust and safety; identify and prioritize safety needs of specific audience segments for trust and safety awareness campaigns.
  • Partner with Law Enforcement Ops - Develop initiatives and awareness campaigns that position Uber’s support of law enforcement in a positive light
  • Craft global marketing strategy - Create compelling and creative marketing strategies that highlight Uber’s efforts in crime prevention to help build safer communities around the world.
  • Drive creative campaign development - Oversee the creation of law enforcement and crime prevention awareness campaigns that span the globe, guiding the development of creative and engaging content that our consumers need and want.
  • Measure for impact - Working with product and marketing channels, test, iterate and measure impact campaigns have on awareness and adjust accordingly to optimize for results and KPIs.
  • Evangelize new ideas - Work with Law Enforcement Ops, Product, PR and Policy teams to champion safety marketing initiatives and partnerships. Lead effective conversations with cross-functional alignment to build support.
  • Make a difference - Passion for creating empathetic, inspiring and innovative marketing for social impact causes.

 

What you'll need

  • At least 7 years of experience in consumer product or brand marketing, ideally with experience in safety, crime prevention, law enforcement,  security, crisis response, or social impact marketing.
  • A demonstrated history of quickly, yet strategically, making an impact via tailored marketing approaches.
  • Excellent leadership skills and a desire to work hard and lead from the front.
  • Demonstrated experience launching successful brand marketing campaigns.
  • A demonstrated ability of using consumer insights to drive impactful consumer campaigns.
  • Excellent project management skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • A passion for working cross-functionally in a highly collaborative and complex environment.
  • An awesome and optimistic attitude. We work hard, and have a blast doing it.
