About the Role

 

We are looking for a Senior Associate to join a team of high performers who will drive Uber’s dynamic cross-functional projects, ranging from M&A Finance Integration activities to international entity setup and onboarding. This challenging role requires an individual who is grounded, driven, and excited to solve new problems every day and does not stop until the job is done.

What You’ll Do

 

  • Participate and help execute global projects in tax, accounting and finance with cross-functional teams,  including Integration/divestitures, Entity Setup and onboarding etc.
  • Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, (e.g. tax, accounting, treasury, HR, FinTech, Engineering, Operations, Products, etc) to develop project plans, identify owners, manage and report project progress on an on-going basis.  
  • Solve problems and remove roadblocks to keep projects moving, draw out process flows and narratives, analyze risks and pain points, collect and dissect information to action steps and follow up through closure.
  • Coordinate and assist in hosting cross-functional meetings, document meeting minutes, action plans, and progress updates, and maintain and update project tracker.
  • Communicate effectively to internal and external stakeholders on risks/issues and keep everyone on the same page.
  • Prepare executive level presentations, newsletters, and reports.  

 

What You’ll Need

 

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in public accounting, consulting, and/or a high-growth company.
  • “Can-do” and “Down-to-earth” attitude. Must be able to deliver in a fast-paced and fast-changing environment.  
  • Passion to work with people across multiple functions and to connect and drive results.
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to manage a wide range of information and create structure from scratch.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrate the ability to present facts in a clear and concise manner and effectively influence business decisions.
  • Excellent computer skills in MS Office, knowledge of Oracle.
  • Proven track record of increased responsibility and scope.

 

About the Team

 

We build scalable & controlled processes and help implement accounting systems and automation for our Global Accounting function.
