About the Role

 

The Statutory Reporting Coordinator will work closely with Tax, Legal, Treasury, Finance Operations and external consultants to ensure local reporting compliance and accuracy for entities within the region.  The role will report to the Reporting & Compliance Leader for LATAM and work closely with other members of the team. This role will be based in Mexico City, Mexico.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Own statutory audit coordination with local entity auditors and work that is centrally coordinated and the respective reporting leads for those entities
  • Lead the G2S centralization effort. Thinking out of the box - creating innovative solutions to centralize and simplify our statutory reporting processes:
  • Preparing Standard operating procedures for common G2S adjustments (Fixed Assets, Stock based compensation, Accruals, etc) 
  • Prepare DTPs for procedures to be completed by shared service centre
  • Create templates for accounting reconciliations
  • Obtain feedback to create centralized procedures that meet the requirements of the various reporting jurisdictions
  • Maintain G2S document with types of adjustments by country
  • Leading improvements in Oracle for local books - working with our technology team in Amsterdam and Fintech
  • Understand operating model and the different processes in relation to local regulations and requirements 
  • Work closely with our compliance partner to ensure efficiencies for centralized procedures
  • Consolidate and prepare monthly fluxes at LATAM level based on US GAAP
  • Maintain standardized financial statement template for entities in LATAM

 

What You’ll Need 

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant financial statement audit experience
  • Understanding of fundamental accounting concepts and tax principles (under IFRS)
  • To be a team player, have the ability to work independently and willingness to take on challenges
  • To be comfortable communicating and working in English 
  • Strong analytical and communication skills

 

Bonus Points If…

 

  • Experience with Oracle or another large scale ERP
  • CPA / CA / equivalent qualification
