At Uber, we ignite opportunity by setting the world in motion. We take on big problems to help drivers, riders, delivery partners, and eaters get moving in more than 600 cities around the world.
We welcome people from all backgrounds who seek the opportunity to help build a future where everyone and everything can move independently. If you have the curiosity, passion, and collaborative spirit, work with us, and let’s move the world forward, together.
About the Role
Uber’s People Analytics team is growing. You’ll be joining the consultative arm of our team -- called Analytics Business Partners (ABP). We bring people data and insights to Uber’s most senior executives through the products we build (dashboards, reports, tools) and the relationships we cultivate. The LatAm Business Partner will be based in Uber’s main LatAm headquarters (Mexico City), but will interface with stakeholders across the entire mega region to help bring people data to life for all major LatAm LOBs (Rides, Eats, Community Operations). As the sole LatAm representative on ABP, this person will need to have strong autonomy and collaboration skills, as we operate as a unified global ABP team. This person will become an analytical thought partner for stakeholders, with the opportunity to build relationships with top leaders and impact people decisions at the highest levels.
What You'll Do
Become a deep subject matter expert of the people and business strategies of the core LatAm business functions
Build strong relationships with your HR business partners and business stakeholders, in order to conduct meaningful analyses and provide actionable data-driven solutions to the organizations you support
Leverage your analytical toolkit to help present people insights and solutions that allow these teams to run effectively
Ensure the consistent application and interpretation of key HR data and analyses across the organization through partnership, reporting, and business intelligence
Work with our global ABP team, be the eyes and ears for our broader People Analytics team and partner and share insights and learnings from LatAm
Contribute to (and occasionally lead) central ABP work streams
Identify areas to streamline central analytical processes and programs
Join team meetings, help shape the culture and carry out the mission of our team, and be an all-around positive contributor to our ABP team
What You'll Need
Bachelor and/or Master's degree in Business, Economics, or other business operations focus
4+ years of management consulting, operations, finance or other analytical related experience -- preferably in a fast-paced environment or tech company
Data-driven and highly analytical - you're able to translate data and insights into a meaningful story to drive strategy, action, and decision-making at an executive level.
Quantitative excellence in spreadsheets is a must
Fluency in one or more languages/tools is a major advantage: SQL, Tableau, Python, R (or other related technical capabilities)
Stakeholder management and relationship-building: ability to communicate, build trust and proactively help provide solutions with very senior people at Uber
Self-starter attitude - you are excited about helping build an internal team at Uber, you love the challenge of working in an always-changing environment, and you approach work with a can-do grittiness
Curiosity - you're innovative, creative, and constantly looking for opportunities to arrive at solutions by asking smart questions
