About the Role


A high performing Global Mobility program is a critical element in attracting, developing, and retaining talent here at Uber. We need someone passionate about all things Mobility to help shape and execute the program's strategic vision. We'll need you to have both strategic and operational experience, as well as a mix of entrepreneurial and large, high-growth, company experience. This position is a great opportunity to help lead the vision and direction of a rapidly growing strategic program in a booming, constantly changing environment.


The APAC Global Mobility Manager is a leadership role on our Global Mobility team - a highly collaborative, dynamic and growing global team looking to deliver efficient and high-quality service. In addition to the traditional immigration and mobility responsibilities (mobility tax, relocation, etc.), this role will help develop and implement new talent mobility programs designed to provide new perspectives, experiences, and skills to our employees. Delivering this caliber of support isn’t easy - it takes a leader who can understand Uber’s operations, adapt to our constantly changing businesses, and help solve problems where no solution currently exists. The right person is ready to make tough data-backed decisions in a high-stakes, high-speed environment. You are passionate about delivering wow customer experiences, passionate about solutions, and love getting in the weeds on any and all issues.

What You’ll Do


  • Define, implement, and oversee the overall strategy of our APAC mobility program
  • Review and analyze mobility policies and operations, with a focus on constantly improving employee and business experience and efficiency. Find innovative solutions to Mobility problems not faced by other companies - we are a unique company and thus need equally innovative strategies to meet our mobility needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships across our APAC senior leadership team to strategize and create talent mobility programs 
  • Anticipate and plan for new Mobility legislation regionally - mitigating risks and communicating changes to key stakeholders
  • Provide timely, in-depth and comprehensive forecasts, projections and data to the regional executive team
  • Analytically drive the metrics used to evaluate the team’s performance, including speed, efficiency, quality, and thoroughness to meet objectives. 
  • Demonstrate a management style that encourages participation and ownership, along with a continuous focus on action, customer satisfaction, and personnel satisfaction.
  • Lead a team of mobility program managers. Coach, counsel, and develop team members to position them for success. 
  • Ensure that employees and internal stakeholders consistently receive high-quality, emotionally intelligent support, and build systems to deliver it efficiency.  


What You’ll Need

  • You understand the importance of collaboration and being part of a bigger team
  • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience in Big 4 and/or technology industry
  • General technical knowledge of mobility tax, payroll, and equity considerations for globally mobile employees
  • Experience managing a high-performance team
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong operational and analytical aptitude
  • Exceptional verbal/written communication skills
  • You’re innovative, extremely creative and constantly looking for ways to tweak and optimize a process
