About the Role

 

The People Development Associate Business Partner will join the People Development team and be responsible for driving the success of programs that benefit Uber’s managers, teams and individual contributors. This role is highly cross-functional in nature, working closely and collaboratively with strategy, operations, program and editorial teams along with business stakeholders such as People Analytics. Successful candidates will be passionate about learning and development that supports people in ways that help the business be successful. What You’ll Do
  • Contribute to a variety of learning initiatives based on business needs and PD priorities 
  • Design and lead multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to work to tight timescales
  • Manage multiple work-streams
  • Provide logistical support to ensure the smooth execution of our programs and initiatives
  • Keep functional and regional teams on track
  • Drive project requirements and timelines
  • Collaborate on workstreams with appropriate owners
  • Lean into hands-on involvement 
  • Influence and inspire to get things done
  • Collect and structure data to support and own decisions that drive project effectiveness, efficiency and innovation
  • Leverage relationships and build the goodwill necessary to strengthen connections, build trust and drive change without authority
  • Ensure healthy lines of communication between teams
  • Prepare and deliver (impactful) presentations to the business when needed 
  • Partner and manage stakeholders for project buy-in, resourcing and productive results
  • Assess and clarify stakeholders’ primary goals/motives to ensure that these are considered and communicated effectively
  • Work with stakeholders to make trade-offs when necessary

 

What You’ll Need
  • 3+ years experience project or program management or related relevant experience
  • 2+ years in Learning & Development, organization development or other related field would be advantageous
  • Experience developing and owning operational processes
  • Experience with sourcing, vetting and managing learning vendors
  • Experience with identifying, managing and influencing stakeholders
  • Experience with scheduling tools, communication management tools and reporting systems
  • Hands-on familiarity with tools and practices for project management, stakeholder management and results tracking
  • Ability to understand the strategic impact of learning projects across the business, along with business intricacies, and project and organizational dependencies.
  • Critical and creative thinking i.e. ability to think objectively in order to analyze a problem, and ability to proactively ideate and anticipate challenges to transform problems into opportunities

 

Bonus Points If You…

  • Are skilled with GSuite, Sendgrid, and/or have wielded admin access in an LMS
  • Have a graduate degree in adult learning, organizational development, organizational behavior, Industrial-organizational psychology, human resources, or equivalent
  • Have a project management certification
