About the Role
Uber is looking for a Benefits Program Manager to drive program development within the Global Benefits team. Our exponential growth brings us unique challenges - join us as we build innovative and creative solutions while helping to transform one of the fastest growing companies in history.
This role will build analytical solutions for a variety of stakeholders. You will develop financial and quantitative analyses to unlock new benefit programs and optimize existing programs. You will own the development and implementation of benefit programs across multiple employee groups and regions. You'll serve as a member of the Global Benefits team and regularly partner with Compensation, Finance, Accounting and the broader People team.
The ideal candidate thrives in a very fast-paced, constantly changing environment. This role is based out of our San Francisco global headquarters, however will be required to partner with team members and stakeholders globally distributed across our regional offices.
What You’ll Do
Lead global benefits projects from discovery and design through to completion - develop the project plan, lead all the meetings and drive to completion
Develop a centralized model to capture all benefits spend and trends over time
Partner with external consultants and actuarial firms to align on assumptions and procedures used to calculate US spend
Establish a standardized methodology for budgeting and projecting benefit spend incorporating changing headcount, estimated utilization, etc.
Partner with finance, accounting, benefits, compensation and equity teams to ensure accurate and consistent budget reporting
Monitor utilization and financial reporting for US self-funded health plan
Communicate recommendations and coordinate key decision-makers to take action
Develop consistent process for determination and review of benefit values for global programs
Ad hoc financial modeling of new program considerations or changes to existing programs
What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, Economics, or similar
4+ years of experience working with employee benefit programs within a benefits team or consulting firm
Ability to think globally, strategically, and objectively to effectively translate quantitative analysis into actionable insights, strategies and financial plans
Experience in preparing financial analyses for senior leadership
Experience in US healthcare and benefit programs, international experience preferred
Excellent Excel and Google Sheets skills, experience with SQL, R, VBA or Python preferred
Self-starter with a drive to collaborate and problem solve
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, growing environment
