About the Role
At Uber, we pride ourselves on the amazing University Recruiting team we've built. We source and convince the most diverse exceptional talent in the market to consider Uber and enter our recruiting processes. Our team wants to include a University Recruiting Manager who has a critical eye for, and love of, entry level talent. We are growing rapidly and need someone who can thrive in ambiguity but strives for and enjoys building processes that create order from chaos. A strong candidate will understand the academic lifecycle and will have demonstrable examples of executing strategies to hire the best and brightest within that context. What You’ll Do
You will support Uber with campus hiring initiatives, building great teams and partnerships wherever needed.
Effectively manage and analyze the University Team's pipeline health to ensure delivery of both hires and pipeline efficiencies
Lead the reporting of key performance recruiting metrics and identify trends on all campus facing topics
Advise and mentor a team of campus facing recruiters, ensuring thoughtful planning followed by tactical execution of campus recruiting initiatives
Create and drive new campus hiring programs/initiatives for our Technical, MBA, PhD, Data Science, Operations and Corporate teams
Effectively manage massive candidate pipelines while making each candidate feel like they are at the center of our world
Help develop and execute a diversity and inclusion strategy that guides how we engage with and process candidates
Be knowledgeable about our business, enabling yourself to be an expert for the team on job content, closing
and HR-related questions (i.e. benefits, comp, etc).
Build capability in our team to allow for the most effective and efficient delivery of the Uber Candidate Value Proposition to both high touch managed campuses and low touch, low engagement schools.
Work to improve upon existing process procedures as we evolve to systems that we trust, while constantly verifying
Manage relationships across multiple teams - expect to be responsible for the hiring needs of many
Showcase your passion for campus hiring. That means intimate knowledge of curriculum, competitor best practices, and relationships with schools around the world
Engage with eager alumni within Uber to successfully translate that energy into amazing engagement opportunities with students
About the Team
University Recruiting hires entry level talent into all facets of Uber's engineering, operations and corporate functions. We hire the best and brightest talent from North America and around the world to help us build technology and services that ignite opportunity for all by setting the world in motion. We are specifically looking for an individual to lead our "campus facing" university recruiting team. This team is responsible for identifying the brightest and most diverse cohort of candidates from across schools in North America and convincing them to enter the pipeline of consideration to fill Uber full-time and internship opportunities. We recruit for a wide array of positions from engineering, MBA, design and undergrad business schools, to name a few. Our team takes pride in becoming inclusive representers of the Uber candidate value proposition. We place our customers at the center of our interactions and processes. Who are our customers? Candidates, business leaders, hiring managers, our peers, internal stakeholders and the list goes on, which each taking priority depending on where we are in the annual lifecycle of UR.
