About the Role

 

 

The People Development Product Manager will join the Product Management team in the People Development org and be responsible for driving the building and implementation of some of our key learning products. The successful candidate will have experience in all stages of the product development cycle and a proven track record of launching learning products.

 

 

What You’ll Do
  • Own end-to-end product management process and lifecycle across People Development learning products/ group of products
  • Set product vision and strategy, articulating the business value to the product team and stakeholders
  • Develop and prioritize product roadmap, recommending nature, scope, packaging, etc. of current and future product lines, appraising new ideas and/or sunsetting products as needed, in context of the existing and new products across the team
  • Drive user research and advocate for the needs of users and customer in context with the needs of the business
  • Conduct company and market analysis and deeply understands how to marry innovations in product and learning products with the state of product management on the team and at Uber
  • Own communication strategy regarding the product, its data, and its implications for all stakeholders, including marketing, timely product updates, and ROI reports to the business
  • Define and drive release process, aligning and coordinating with the project manager, stakeholders and all teams involved to bridge gaps and manage dependencies
  • Collaborate with other product managers and leaders to drive the to strategic thinking, planning and design across learning lifecycles for managers, teams and individual contributors to meet current and future needs of the business
  • Establish and measure business-focused KPIs to demonstrate success and gaps in learning products, including behavior change and other learning-driven business outcomes

What You’ll Need

  • A BA/BS degree in a related field and at least 8 years of experience in learning and development, organization development, instructional design, or professional development — or equivalent experience
  • Experience developing learning products
  • Familiarity with working in a matrixed HR organization, including a decision-making process with varied levels and scope of stakeholder engagement by product, with at times quickly changing priorities based on business need
  • The ability to handle multiple projects with various global stakeholders, prioritize workloads with competing deadlines, and a record of successful delivery
  • Experience with agile development methodologies
  • Excited to help coach and develop other product managers on the team
  • The ability to make appropriate decisions regarding relative cost and benefit of potential actions
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Experience using analytics and data to demonstrate impact and efficacy of initiatives on the business
  • Innovative, creative, and curious; constantly looking for ways to tweak and optimize process
  • A results-driven attitude and the ability to build relationships and work effectively with multiple stakeholders
  • The ability to navigate systems and tools, and promote efficiency
