About the Role


The Uber Global Scaled Solutions (GSS) is focused on delivering our objectives to maximize value for Uber through solutions that are:

  • Automated & Innovative

This Senior Program Manager, will focus on enterprise-wide engagements and portfolio management across Uber’s various lines of businesses, and also coach and mentor a series of program managers within the domain. Additionally, this person is laser-focused on unlocking the potential of Synergies and Scale.


We have a need for a strong program manager to drive a variety of ETE (end to end) programs across Uber. This individual has a deep background in Process Development, Capabilities Creation and Solution Design. There will be a strong focus on demand generation / in-take, optimization of the GSS portfolio, leadership and direction to drive strategy and execution to achieve business outcomes and measure value realization.   

What You’ll Do

  • Maintaining a positive relationship with GSS Partner Stakeholders
  • Demand in-take of net new capabilities, features and operational solutions
  • New Projects/Approval/Funding:  Scoping, Analyzing and proposing value associated with project/program proposals.
  • Gathering requirements, creating the business case, and calculating program/project value /ROI
  • Communicating regular x-portfolio dependencies, program status, and solutions.  Single POC/Partner Interface for x-group reporting,  LOB stakeholder quarterly reviews, new projects, project pipeline, facilitating prioritization decisions, documenting and balancing amongst trade-off options
  • Cross-group project  monthly reporting/Consolidates  updates from all GSS PgM’s/TPM’s
  • Quarterly reviews with the Partner exec team and regular connect with stakeholders across the organization(s)
  • Partner Strategy, forecast pipeline
  • Global Experience working within in “hybrid” team strategy consisting of FTEs and vendor resources
  • Creative problem solver - Have an excellent understanding of business goals and able to identify and solve high impact, highly complex problems. Additionally, you are then able to effectively loop in other Senior PgMs to help solve the problem
  • Work with various cross-functional teams to innovate, identify, and develop long term scalable technology solutions to support business growth
  • Identify and deliver improvements in downstream results by eliminating upstream inefficiencies and defects.
  • Responsible for strategic oversight of select projects, process improvements, and operational initiatives
  • Acting as a liaison between partner LOB and multiple GSS vertical PgMs

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum of 10 years experience as a program/project manager
  • Communication. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and exceptional emotional intelligence. Ability to influence and motivate people across a broad variety of job functions through your relationships, inside and outside Uber.
  • Highly organized. Excellent organizational skills to juggle many tasks without losing sight of the highest priority items.
  • Analytical. Ability to understand complex concepts and make reasoned decisions with sometimes imperfect data.
  • Results oriented. Detail oriented. Driven. Take the initiative without being asked. Creative.
  • Works cross-functionally to solve an organizational group’s key pain points. Creates end-to-end solutions that have lasting effects for the organizational group in technical, business, and product areas; end results are both simple and elegant.
  • Leads quarterly and annual planning for the GSS/Partner group, including providing input to adjacent areas.
  • Strong analytical orientation/bent of mind and customer understanding, the candidate should be a proactive, self-starter & highly motivated
  • Strong program management skills, multi-tasking ability & interpersonal communication - ability to work with multiple cross-functional teams on fragmented workstreams
