The Eats team in San Francisco is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the 'Eater Core Pricing' team. Growth and Profitability are the two primary focuses of the Eats business. Finding the right balance between the two while consistently improving efficiency and reliability is a key challenge. In this exciting opportunity, you would be laying down a multi-year strategy to achieve these goals. You would also be inheriting a highly functional engineering team as well as outlining career progression for every individual on the team to set them up for success.
What You’ll Do on this team?
You will be joining as the Engineering leader on Eater Core Pricing. The following will be your core responsibilities:
Career growth and mentorship for every engineer on the team.
Strategic roadmap planning in collaboration with product, data science and Ops.
Laying down a vision for the team to achieve a balance between growth and profitability.
Delivering results at high quality and on-time.
Recruiting high-quality engineering talent for the team.
What You’ll Need to be successful in this role/team?
2+ years of experience in directly managing 10+ engineers.
5+ years of experience in a leadership position.
Experience working on a product team.
Leadership experience in a cross-functional setting.
Experience in Machine Learning.
Full-stack experience in delivering a product.
Prior experience as an HM in recruiting engineers.
