About the Role

Partner Engineering is a unique position within the engineering community and particularly here at Uber. The role is implemented in a variety of ways in different organizations. At Uber, we’re defining it for ourselves, and it’s awesome!

Partner Engineering is equal parts software engineering, technical product development, and business development. To be a successful Partner Engineer, you must be a strong software engineer first and foremost. A deep technical understanding of Uber’s stack in addition to the ability to quickly comprehend partners' platforms is critical to the success of Uber's partnerships.

In addition to a strong engineering core, Partner Engineers work closely with product management to design and develop products that partners, developers, and users will love. As a Partner Engineer you will establish and maintain relationships with Uber’s next set of mobility partners, working to develop and launch high impact projects that drive Uber’s business forward.

In this role, you will work directly with strategic partners through every phase of a partnership. You are the technical voice in the room at initial negotiations and exploratory discussions, you work with product managers to ensure that the partners needs are met by the solution that we deliver and when the desire or need arises, you implement the feature needed to get the job done.

You will also travel to meet with partners face to face wherever they are and attend events where the products you worked so hard on are launched to the world.

Come shape the future of Partner Engineering at Uber with us!

The Nemo Platform is Uber’s strategy to own customers’ transportation wallet. To do this, we onboard mobility offerings from third parties that help round out Uber’s portfolio of product offerings in the Uber app. The experiences of taking trips on these third party mobility offerings through the Uber app should be as seamless and delightful as the Uber rides experience.
