Uber's financial engineering team is making Uber’s finance operation world class. Improving operational efficiency through marketplace intelligent, optimized budget allocation, and just-in-time market adaptation, supported by machine learning technologies and mass optimization into financial planning process.
Financial engineering will provide systems and services that improve the efficiency, accuracy of each phase of the finance operational flow in order to have fast response to the changing market condition, and assist leadership to make strategic decision supported by accurate forecast and operational intelligence.
What You’ll Need
At least 7+ years of experience.
Prior experience as a tech lead who has mentored/led small teams in building product features at scale
The ability to go deep, but also appreciate the challenge of going broad. Uber has a huge stack, and we're all over it: backend services, real-time dispatch, machine learning, mobile, web development, data and analytics, infrastructure, marketing systems.

Obsessive collaboration. We work closely with business groups like Legal, Regulatory, and other engineering teams like onboarding platform, documents, supply, etc. We communicate to address new challenges, work through requirements, and improve our operational efficiency.
