About the Role


As an Self Driving Vehicle Test Engineer, you will support functional testing for hardware and software related to mapping, safety, and autonomous vehicle operation. Test Engineers work closely with Development Engineers, Technicians and specialists. to facilitate test planning, execution, and reporting.

What You’ll Do
  • Design, develop, and implement safe and effective test plans and procedures for complex hardware and software systems 
  • Perform root cause analysis of issues seen during testing
  • Work closely with software engineers, product, operations, and management to develop testing requirements and verify successful test execution
  • Gather, analyze, and communicate testing results to stakeholders
  • Define and implement test process improvements

What You’ll Need

  • BS in Engineering or a related discipline, or related job experience
  • Prior experience developing or testing complex hardware or software systems (3+ years preferred)
  • Skills in isolating, documenting, and tracking issues systematically
  • Proficient and professional communication skills 
  • Proven self-starter with the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment


Bonus Points if


  • Strong technical background in Linux OS architecture, C programming, and Python scripting or equivalent
  • Experience using software packages (Python, MATLAB, etc.) for data analysis
  • Knowledgeable in modern automotive electronics and diagnostic procedures
  • Experience working in robotics or with autonomous systems
  • Strong understanding of software and code repositories
