About the Role

The Sales & Success team at Uber Eats is the growth engine responsible for the acquisition, retention, and development of restaurant partners, ensuring their ongoing success on the Uber Eats platform. The Account Management team is responsible for the retention and development of restaurant partners. 


Uber Eats is looking for a smart and driven Account Manager to join the Small and Medium Businesses Account Management team. To be successful in this role, you must be results-oriented, analytically minded and have a passion for sales.


You'll need to be customer-obsessed, take ownership of projects and be passionate about developing your own go to market approach.


What You’ll Do :


This role will be responsible for developing and driving a number of key functions:


  • Help our partners to grow their business with Uber Eats, by launching virtual restaurants, driving adoption of our new product features and providing strategic guidance on menus and customer-centric metrics.  
  • Effectively prioritize and manage a pipeline of restaurants to consistently meet weekly, monthly and quarterly targets
  • Be a business partner for Restaurant partners providing them with data-driven insights and advice to optimize their success on UberEats
  • Re-engage with high potential but not committed partners and enable them for success.
  • Contribute to the wider Account Management team and activities, by supporting projects, such as webinars, events or educational material creation. 
  • Participate in the development of the team by contributing to training activities and/or by improving processes.
  • Engage with our highest-potential restaurants essentially, predominately via phone 
  • Ensure all partners in our portfolio are following Uber’s best practices in managing their accounts
  • Enable restaurants to learn and master UberEats's tools and systems so they may become self-sufficient in managing their business and quality metrics efficiently.
  • Gain and share insights into the food industry in Australia and New Zealand to best tailor your pitch and advice to restaurants.


What You’ll Need: 


  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 2 years of work experience in Sales and/or Account Management
  • Skilled in phone-based business development with strong objection-handling skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to persuade, convince and explain complex concepts in a simple manner
  • Proven time management skills 
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, comfortable with having individual and team targets
  • Intermediate numerical and data skills, including Google Sheets


Bonus points:


  • Experience in a marketplace business or e-commerce would be an advantage but is not essential
  • Previous experience in using Salesforce.
