About the Role
As Uber continues to expand its services and technologies to airports around the world, the Global Business Development (BD) team is looking for a charismatic, experienced and hands-on leader to grow our U.S. & Canada airport partnerships and make Uber an indispensable part of every travel experience. The Airports Business Development Manager is someone who is deeply interested in the long-term success of airports and thrives in a fast-paced technology company.
As an Airports Business Development Manager, you lead partnerships with Airports in the U.S. & Canada region and play an integral role on a cross-functional business unit team to set a vision and define and execute strategy for Uber’s airport program. You will be the face of Uber externally to a portfolio of priority airport partners, help Uber improve operations at airports and negotiate high priority partnerships that ultimately drive revenue growth. This is a highly cross-functional role, as you will collaborate across internal teams including product, finance, legal, marketing, policy, and operations.
What You’ll Do
Build, cultivate, and negotiate Uber’s airport contracts and partnerships in the US & Canada region
Represent the Airports Business team internally and externally at senior executive levels
Collaborate closely with Uber’s product, policy and operations teams to set the industry vision, partnership strategy and advise on cross-functional processes to support ongoing airports management
Lead the airport deal process from relationship building to negotiation to post-contract optimization
Create scalable internal programs for sourcing, onboarding, and developing airport relationships
What You'll Need
Minimum 6 years of experience in business development, which may include management consulting, public-private partnerships, enterprise account management, airport affairs, or government affairs
Partnership Experience. Ability to have a 'sixth sense' when it comes to partnerships and that leads you to effortlessly navigating multiple partner engagements
Proven business development track record of building and executing commercial deals and complex partnerships
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with ability to define and communicate compelling vision
Ability to work cross-functionally and at levels of the organization -- you can work effectively with anyone from a CEO to an in-the-field ops manager
Strong use of insights and data-driven decision making
Passion for Uber’s mission and ability to thrive under pressure in an unstructured, fast-paced environment
Passion for the airports and travel space
Extremely proactive, self starter mentality with strong organizational skills
Government or airports industry expertise is a plus
