About the Role
The Business Development Manager is someone who is deeply interested in building long-term successful partnerships with high profile companies across ANZ and thrives in a fast-paced technology company. Successful candidates will bring a dynamic combination of IQ and EQ, an ability to think strategically and execute tactically, and possess strong interpersonal skills to maximize value in partnership negotiations. They thrive on managing multiple deals in a complex but exciting environment, and are willing to invest their energy into building long-lasting partnerships in order to unlock significant growth for Uber across ANZ.
What You’ll Do
Lead the end-to-end strategic partnership process. This includes developing the partner strategy, engaging external partners, developing a mutually beneficial commercial construct, contract negotiation and implementation.
Collaborate with internal cross-functional partners across Operations, Product, Marketing, Legal, Comms & Policy to bring ‘first of their kind’ partnerships to life across ANZ.
Develop long term, mutually beneficial relationships with senior executives of current and prospective strategic partners who assist in the delivery of Uber’s growth
Perform a broad range of quantitative and qualitative analyses in order to sell in new partnership opportunities, as well as build on existing partnerships
Set, track and report on strategic partner performance metrics to internal and external executives.
Handle a high volume of internal and external engagements and the fast pace of our company.
Build a comprehensive understanding of, and keep up to date with, the Uber & Uber Eats business and it’s functions across ANZ in order to deliver the highest impact around prospective partnerships.
What You’ll Need
7+ years of Business Development experience including the negotiation and launch of commercial deals and complex partnerships.
Experience in cultivating and growing strategic business partnerships
Excellent judgment, positive attitude, hustle, demonstrated history of success
A track record of delivering strong UX by leveraging product or other technology solutions
Strong interpersonal skills which allow you to build trust and negotiate hard with partners, and adeptly manage the cross-functional coordination (product, local operations, engineering, finance, legal) required to implement deals
Adaptability to change within a face paced corporate environment
Strong quantitative and financial skills
Adept at building and delivering presentations
Bonus points if
Experience with corporate development activities
