#WhyIRide Uber in Kampala

Whether you are headed to work, a friend’s house, home from the club, or playing tourist on the weekends — you deserve to ride safely.

So today we’re kicking off a new series highlighting our top riders in the community called ‘Why I Ride’ to learn more about why they trust Uber to help them get around in Kampala.

To start off, we spoke to our favourite Flash Rogers, one of Uganda’s influential personalities. Here’s what he shared with us.

I am Mujuni Rogers but commonly known as “Flash Rogers” currently working with Jumia Food which has been around for three years as the Head of Customer Relations Management and Social Media.

I ride because I enjoy moving around the city safely and sound in an Uber.I also work on the move because the rides are comfortable.

I use Uber especially when am going to hang out and I know I’m going to be bar hopping the entire night. I don’t like drinking and driving so I always know Uber got me from Friday to Sunday. I also use Uber to work.

The fact that every information about my Uber driver is given to me in the App and I get a receipt emailed to me after my ride. So even if i’ve  left something in the car or have any questions about the fare, I’m know I can report the trip in particular and resolve it. . I really love the fact that every detail about the drivers is made visible to the rider.

My favourite feature is “Your Trips” because I can always go back and review my trips. And also with this new version, I like the suggestions that pop down just before you write your destination. Usual it brings up your most visited locations and recent location.

My favourite place to Uber to is home and secondly is my office  because I get to work on my laptop while Ubering.

I downloaded the App because I didn’t want to miss out on this awesome, affordable and safe way to move from one place to another without any hustle of squeezing myself in a taxi or trying to hail a boda boda on the street. Secondly, I used to hear about Uber so of course I wanted to give it a try and see.
