From the moment of accepting a trip or food delivery request through to completion of that request and for 15 minutes after it has completed.

Who is covered

All Uber driver partners are insured. Coverage is subject to conditions and limits.

How it works

What this means for you

Insured for major costs If you’re an Uber driver or delivery partner who use an Uber App for flexible earnings opportunities in Turkey, you are now automatically insured to protect you when you’re On-Trip. Cover includes medical expenses, death, permanent disability, hospitalisation daily payment and injuries following an accident (see coverage details).

Protected against lost income We want to help you protect yourself from the risk of lost income due to accidents that could occur while On-Trip (see coverage details).

It doesn’t cost you a thing As part of our global commitment to safety we have partnered with AXA, the world's leading insurance brand, to provide you with this protection. There’s no need to sign up — all partners are automatically protected by the insurance, at no cost to you.

  • What are the key features of cover?

    Partner Injury Protection provides cover for specific events that occur while a partner is On-Trip.

    The key features are summarised below. For full details please read the AXA Notice.

    Features of cover relating to Accidents that happen On-Trip:

    Medical cover: This reimburses expenses you have incurred for any medical costs not covered by normal public healthcare services, and gives you the comfort of being able to instantly obtain a variety of related private medical services on top of normal public healthcare services (e.g. Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation, Doctor second opinion).

    Inconvenience payment (hospitalisation): If you are hospitalised for more than 24 hours you will receive a lump sum payment.

    Inconvenience payment (injury): If you are unable to work as a result of an accident On-Trip, you will receive a daily payment for up to 30 days whilst you are medically certified by a doctor as unfit to work.

    Death and Funeral payments: In the unfortunate event that you die as a result of an accident On-Trip, your dependents or heirs will benefit from a lump sum payment. In addition Funeral expenses will be reimbursed.

    Disability payments: In the unfortunate event that you suffer a permanent disability as a result of an accident On-Trip, you will benefit from a lump sum payment (the amount depends on the severity of the disability).

  • Can all Uber partners get this insurance?

  • Does Partner Injury Protection replace my commercial motor insurance?

    No, Partner Injury Protection does not provide commercial motor insurance nor is it a substitute for your compulsory motor insurance. Please contact your insurer, broker or agent should you have any questions regarding your motor insurance.

  • What does “On-Trip” mean? When am I covered?

    From the moment of accepting a trip or food delivery request through to completion of that request and for 15 minutes after it has completed.

  • When am I covered?

    Covers for Accidents that happen On-Trip apply for all partners from the moment of accepting a trip or food delivery request in the Uber App through completion of that request, and for 15 minutes after it has been completed.

  • How do I file a claim?

    You can file a claim using a simple AXA online claims form located in the help section of the partner Uber app. After you submit your claim, you’ll receive an AXA confirmation email with your claim number, claim adjuster’s contact information and a list of additional documents you may need in order for AXA to process your claim.
