How does Uber Reserve work?
You can reserve an UberX or Comfort trip up to 30 days and at least 2 hours in advance.
You can check your reservation at any time by going to the Reservations section in the app.
What makes an Uber Reserve trip different to other trips?
An Uber Reserve trip is reserved and a driver assigned in advance of the trip time. Once a driver has been assigned to the trip, the fare is then locked and will not change.
The driver will also arrive 5 minutes before the pickup time that you’ve scheduled. You can then choose to start the trip earlier, at the selected pick-up time, or up to 5 minutes after your selected pick-up time.
The trip fare includes a Reservation Fee which covers the additional waiting time. Therefore, you will not be charged additional wait time fees for up to 5 minutes after the selected pick-up time.
Uber Reserve cancellation policy
Since you are reserving a driver in advance, if you cancel a Reserve trip less than 1 hour before pick up, you will need to pay the minimum trip fare (see more in the FAQ section below). So if your plans change and you need to cancel a trip, please do so more than 1 hour before your scheduled pick-up time.

- Can the fare change before the trip?
No, the fare is fixed. You will be able to see it when the request comes in and this will remain unchanged.
- What happens if the driver who has accepted my Reservation cancels?
If the driver for your Reservation cancels, your request will be sent to other drivers and you will receive the new driver details as soon as they have confirmed the Reservation.
- What should I do if the driver arrives early and I am not ready for the trip?
As part of Uber Reserve experience, your driver will arrive up to 5 minutes early. However, there is no need to start the trip early if you are not ready. You will not be charged additionally for the waiting time and the driver will wait for up to 5 minutes after the scheduled trip time.
- How much does it cost?
The fare structure for a Reserve trip is the same as for UberX or Comfort. However, a reservation fee of 7 RON for UberX or 8.50 RON for Comfort is added and there are minimum fares for Reserve trips to ensure drivers are compensated for any additional time.
- What’s the minimum fare for Reserve?
When you pre-book a ride with Uber Reserve you don’t really have to worry whether your booking gets picked up, or your driver cancels on you last minute or simply arrives late. Thanks to the minimum fare your driver gets compensated for being available to you pre-trip and not taking any other trip requests, while you get peace of mind, knowing that your trip’s already on the driver's schedule. Minimum fare varies per ride option: 43 RON for UberX, 53.50 RON for Comfort.
