Verify your ride: Uber’s safety feature that helps you verify, if you’re entering the right car
November 15, 2022 / PolandRide with peace of mind
What’s verify your ride?
Verify your ride is a set of safety features in place to ensure you’re getting into the right vehicle with the right driver. Before you get in, there are a few things you can do to verify your ride. This advice is probably second nature to you – but let’s recap.
Your verification steps
- Once you’re matched with a ride, you’ll receive the driver’s photo and their name, the vehicle make, model and registration number
- You’ll also be sent this vehicle information via a push notification with instructions to check these details before you hop into your ride
- Make it a habit to always check that vehicle and driver details match the app.

What if my driver or vehicle details don’t match?
If something’s not right, or you just don’t feel safe entering the vehicle, you can cancel the trip and report the issue via the app. If you report it, it’s important to take a clear photo of the vehicle in question and state the issue you encountered.
