The Uber app – first steps

1. Open the App Store for an iPhone or Google Play for an Android phone

2. Click on the search box at the top and type “Uber”. The Uber logo should appear on the screen – click on it and select “Install”.

3. Accept the application settings.

4. Once the installation is complete, open the application. You will be asked for permission to turn on Location Services. By agreeing, you will allow the app to determine your location, which will make the operation more convenient.

5. Enter your phone number to use the Uber app. You will receive a text message verifying the phone number – enter it in the application.

6. Complete the remaining data in the application. Enter your email address tol receive reports on your journeys. Add a card number – it will allow you to pay automatically. You can also assign your Android Pay, Apple Pay or PayPal account to Uber, or pay in cash.

8. You can now order rides using the Uber platform!

1. Open the Uber app on your phone, then select your pickup and destination locations by entering the addresses under “Where are we going?” You can also decide whether you want to request a ride for now or later.

2. After entering the address, you can select a trip category. Category availability varies by city.

– UberX are regular taxis

– Uber Comfort are cars with more legroom; you can also choose whether you want to talk to the driver or sit in silence during this trip

– Uber Black is luxury rides

– Uber Van allows rides in a larger group (up to 6 people)

3. When ordering, the application shows the approximate price of the trip. It may change if the driver has to wait for the passenger for more than 2 minutes or there are additional stops on the route.

4. After accepting the price, the system connects the passenger with the driver. When connected, you will get a notification, including basic driver details such as name, vehicle brand and the registration number. Before you get in the car, make sure that the data matches what you see in the app. If you cannot find the driver, you can call via the app

5. If you’ve added a payment card to your Uber account, or you’re using a free ride code, you don’t need to do anything else. If you pay in cash, do so at the end of your trip.
