About the Role


As our Supply Chain Intern - Business Operations, you will be responsible for assisting in supply chain and cost optimization projects (including RFxs and strategic sourcing events) for the products and services Uber’s Security Teams uses to keep people, information, and assets safe.

What You’ll Do

  • Learn and use the strategic sourcing process (including RFPs) to support projects, driving quality enhancements and cost optimizations - including supplier identification, competitive bidding, qualitative & quantitative analysis, & contract negotiations
  • Collaborate across functions and learn best practices in stakeholder management and communication
  • Identify opportunities for business process optimization and drive efficiencies
  • Support the procure to pay process across global security programs
  • Support diverse strategic sourcing projects globally - must be an excellent multi-tasker with exceptional organizational skills

What You’ll Need

  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations or similar with at least one remaining semester of school left after completion of the internship
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional written and oral communication skills including strong excel, powerpoint, and word skills (experience with g-suite a plus!)
  • Team player mindset that takes ownership for a collective outcome and helps others along the way
  • Ability to analyze data and support best business decisions meeting business, contractual, and regulatory requirements
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to thrive in a rapid growth environment
  • Capable of fostering a culture of Trust, Honesty and Integrity
