As the Sourcing Manager, your mission is to help various business teams and functions drive the highest ROI in what they spend. The position will report to Uber's Head of APAC  Sourcing. You will use your experience as a Strategic Sourcing professional with world-class negotiating skills to deliver significant value for stakeholders' and driving operational efficiency. This role requires extensive experience negotiating commercial terms for various categories like Technology, Telecom, Professional Services, Marketing, Workplace services etc. to name a few. You will manage projects end to end.

 

The Strategic Sourcing Manager has overall responsibility of managing the company’s supply portfolio ensuring transparency of spending whilst building the sourcing strategy for ANZ, supported by & influencing cross functional teams.

What You’ll Do

 

  • As a Sourcing Manager you will be responsible for handling Uber ANZ’s end to end sourcing operations for the defined categories.
  • You are required to appraise and improve our sourcing activities by analyzing the company’s spending, supplying partnerships and new possibilities.
  • Analysing and calculating costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure. Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
  • Deliver fast execution and get best responses from the right set of vendors using BATNA as your key tool in such a way that enables rapid deal flow.
  • Builds effective relationships and successfully partners across varied functions with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, agencies and colleagues to drive results and lead and influence change.
  • Research vendor space and industry trends, benchmarking, and innovate to create improvements on industry best practices.
  • Manages competitive RFXs, as necessary, and manages negotiation strategy development, overseeing or conducting the competitive negotiation process as needed;
  • Develop & implement innovative strategies that drive and measure smart spending, compliance, continuous analysis of supplier performance, and overall business value.
  • Estimate risks and apply risk minimizing techniques
  • Optimize sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency
  • Leads the creation and implementation of programs to assess and promote supplier performance and development.
  • Handle any ad-hoc projects and operations as needed in a variety of categories.

 

What You’ll Need

 

  • 8+ Years of Experience across Sourcing & Procurement.
  • Ability to perform quantitative analysis, influence decision makers.
  • Ability, interest, and Self-driven to do what it takes to deliver truly exceptional results in a breakneck timeline.
  • Impeccable spreadsheet and math skills.
  • Knowledge of Scenario planning and financial planning experience is a nice to have
  • Superb analytic capabilities to deliver spend insights and explain pricing models.
  • Extensive contracts experience as you will need to lead contract negotiations with selected players and review, red-line, and negotiate a variety of contracts to optimize value and manage risk at an Uber pace.
  • Leadership Skills: Provides direction to technical or functional groups of associates either directly or indirectly to ensure broader goals of division are achieved.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Requires the need to understand, instruct, motivate and influence those who have work or interests that impact on the jobholder's capacity to achieve organization objectives.
