About the Role
Uber is making a huge investment in financial products in the U.S. A robust financial compliance program will be critical to Uber's success in offering such products. This role is the chance to build from the ground up Uber's financial products compliance program in the United States.
What You’ll Do
Build Uber's Financial Products/Payments Compliance Program for the United States
Design, implement, and run an effective BSA / AML policy, based upon a detailed business impact analysis and risk assessment, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and acting as AML/BSA CCO for potential future regulated products and services
Build out a team of analysts to operationalize compliance measures, manage escalations, document and update procedures relating to such measures, and coordinate to promote a culture of financial compliance within Uber
Stay abreast of legislative, regulatory, and corporate governance developments that might affect Uber’s Payments operations
Produce reports and make recommendations to a supervisory board; resolve compliance issues that may arise
Find the right balance between managing robust systems and controls, with enabling business goals
Design, provision, and supervise an effective training and awareness program

About the Team
Uber is substantially increasing its investment in payment and financial products with the support of its executive leadership, including Dara and Tony West. Financial services is becoming its own pillar within Uber’s long term strategy. A new head of payment product joined Uber recently and is building large teams to build new financial products, including stored value products, wallets, remittance products and lending products.
Uber has long had scalable operational excellence in payments with dedicated product and engineering teams. But the company is taking things to a whole new level, building new products and becoming regulated in multiple markets. This AML/BSA Sr. Manager will be a key part of Uber executing on its long term strategy in fintech/financial services.
