Uber Summer Internship Program 2018

December 7, 2017 / Philippines

One of the most rewarding parts about working at Uber is knowing that the work you do every day helps shape the future of cities and the lives of the people in them–from how they move around, to how they enjoy their meals. An internship at Uber gives you the chance to have that experience, all while being in a collaborative environment where work doesn’t feel like work, and where a world of knowledge feels within your reach.

The Uber Summer Internship Program 2018 runs for a minimum of 6-8 weeks and is open to undergraduate students. With this program, you can expect to grow individually, impact locally, and connect globally.

Grow individually. When you intern at Uber, you are guaranteed to learn by doing, and be given the autonomy to play a key role in your projects or to even run them on your own. You will be given space to grow and make your own decisions, while having the mentorship of your manager to guide you along the way.

Impact locally. You learn and grow through the projects you bring to life. At the same, you enable your cities to grow, which in turn, benefits the lives of the people who live in them. Whether as a full-time employee or as a student intern, everyone at Uber has the capacity to impact their city, with the goal of making it a better place.

Connect globally. Even as an intern, you get access and exposure to insights and learnings from experts across Uber’s global network of professionals through visitor talks and roundtables, to make you better equipped to help people get access to what they need, and how they move around their city.

Let’s move cities together.

Hear From Past Interns

Meet Issa, Jared, and Joshua. Hear firsthand from these past Uber interns what they were looking for in an internship, why they chose which company to intern with, and how they grew as individuals during their time at Uber.

Listen to past Uber interns Josh, Ana, and Lance share their internship experience and how the work they did helped drivers, riders, and cities.

Even as an intern in Manila, you get to meet and work with Uber’s global network just like Bea, Andrew, and Kimberly did. Hear from these past Uber interns how they interacted with people from Uber’s international offices, and what that exposure and experience meant for them.

Who says work can’t be fun too? Our past Uber interns give you a candid rundown of some of their favorite non-work experiences at Uber–from friends to food to Carly Rae Jepsen.

  3. Available for internship for at least 6-8 weeks

1. Submit your Internship Application here

We want to know about YOU. Apart from the usual orgwork and awards, feel free to share with us fun facts or extracurricular activities that you take pride in doing. But don’t go overboard! Please make sure you limit your resume to just 1-2 pages.

2. Take the Analytics Test

Once your application has been reviewed and accepted, you will be emailed a link to take an analytics test. You will have to accomplish the test within 24 hours from the time you receive the email. Please do your research and prepare in advance to make sure you pass the test and make it to the next round!

3. Send in your Video Interview

Upon passing the analytics test, you will be asked to complete a video interview by answering three questions. Limit your answers to just 1-1.5 minutes per question. Record yourself and send your video over.

It’s time for you to meet the team! We’ll be sending you interview schedules to choose from which you should confirm within 24 hours.

1. How long will the internship be?

Uber internships must be at least 6-8 weeks long so that you can have enough time to oversee a project from start to finish. Trust us, you’ll want to stay longer!

2. What will I be working on?

Based on your skills, capabilities, or interests, you will be assigned to work with a full time Uber employee from any of the following departments: Marketing, Operations, Partnerships, or Analytics.

3. What is a regular day like interning at Uber?

No two days are alike at Uber. You could be flying out to Cebu one day, and creating an entire marketing campaign for a new partnership on the next. There’s always something to do, and something new to learn. It’s a fast-paced, energetic working environment that we’d love for you to be a part of!

4. Will I be assigned to Manila?

Interns will be assigned to the Uber Manila office, but students from all around the world are encouraged to apply. There will also be times when interns will have to fly from city to city, depending on the projects assigned to them.

5. Is this a paid internship?

Yes, all interns will be given cash allowance, as well as monthly Uber rides to help you get to where you need to go.

6. I would like to intern at Uber, but won’t be available to participate in the Summer Internship Program in May 2018. Are there any other possible dates to intern?

Students are welcome to intern at any time in Uber, provided that there is a business need during the time of application. We want to make sure that if you join the team, you will be able to handle a project that you can really take ownership of. Please specify the dates that you’re available when you send in your application.
