uberHOP enables riders heading in the same direction to share a ride from 6-9am and 6-9pm for a flat fare. It starts from a fixed pick-up location and heads to a fixed drop-off location. By sharing your journey to and from work, you can help reduce congestion and pollution in Metro Manila – and save money at the same time.
HOW DOES UBERHOP WORK?
STEP 1: ENTER YOUR DESTINATION Before you can see the uberHOP option, you have to choose your destination and pickup point first. If we see that there are available pickup and dropoff points near you, then the uberHOP option it will show up in the app.
STEP 2: WALK Walk to the designated pickup spot as instructed in the app. Be sure to arrive on time or you might miss your HOP!
STEP 3: RIDE Sit back and enjoy the ride. Once you arrive at the designated drop-off point, simply walk the last few blocks to your destination.

DOES SURGE PRICING APPLY TO UBERHOP?
Nope. uberHOP is all about delivering a flat fare. Surge pricing won’t apply.
CAN I BRING FRIENDS?
On the confirmation screen, you’ll be able to indicate how many seats you want to reserve. You can book up to two seats for every uberHOP request.
HOW MANY PASSENGERS ARE ALLOWED ON AN UBERHOP? IS IT GOING TO BE TIGHT?
Every uberHOP ride allows for a maximum of up to 6 riders. uberHOP vehicles are typically AUVs or MPVs that seat up to 8 people, so you’re assured of a comfortable ride every time!
CAN I BRING LUGGAGE? HOW ABOUT PETS?
Yes, you can. But remember there will need to be room for more people and their belongings in the car. We ask that you don’t bring pets (except service animals, of course).
WHAT HAPPENS IF I CANCEL?
When you request uberHOP, you’re making a commitment to both your co-riders and the driver. Cancellations damage both of their experiences, so please don’t leave them hanging!
CAN I CHANGE MY DESTINATION OR PICK-UP LOCATION?
Nope. Pickups and dropoffs are fixed and cannot be changed.
WHY ISN’T UBERHOP SHOWING UP IN MY APP?
If you have trouble loading the uberHOP option, try updating your Uber app. You can also try closing and re-opening the app.
uberHOP is only available from 6-9am and 6-9pm. Out of these times, you won’t be able to see the uberHOP options.
HOW DO I REPORT ISSUES?
From the Uber App Menu, please select HELP and choose from the list of concerns related to your inquiry. The Help section includes your message history with Uber support for simple reference to past answers. Alternatively, you may go to “YOUR TRIPS” to view trip history, and select the specific trip you had trouble/problem with.
