Many different kinds of people drive on Uber – we have partner-drivers who are firemen and policemen, photographers and entrepreneurs, mothers and fathers. But today, in honor of Grandparent’s day, we’re celebrating a few of our most maalaga partners — the lolos and lolas who have made riders like you feel at home every time they drive.
We have senior citizen Uber partners who were part of the Reserved Force of the Philippine Army, a retired personal escort, a bus driver during the Marcos time, internal security of PAGCOR, a church minister, OFW in Bahrain, and many more.
Meet some of our senior citizen Uber partners and hear what they have to say about their Uber experience:
Internal Security of PAGCOR for 6 years
63 years old
At least nakakaraos kami at hindi ako umaasa sa ibang tao. Nagpapasalamat ako sa Diyos na hindi ako pinapabayaan at malakas pa rin ako.
Driver for 48 years
68 years old
I started driving on Uber because I wanted to help in the finances with my wife’s dialysis. Despite being a senior citizen, I’m happy driving with Uber because it helps me get rid of my arthritis!
Retired OFW in Bahrain for 15 years
69 years old
Despite being retired, I still want my mind and body to be working. The last thing I want is for my body to be stagnant. I am still strong and can earn a good income for my family.

I like challenging myself. I don’t like being a tambay. Kakaiba siya dahil sa pakikihalubilo mo sa iba-ibang tao. Masarap din naman na pag nahatid mo sila at nagpapasalamat sila. Nakakataba din talaga ng puso.
