Sometimes it can feel like Mums make the world go around. We don’t know where we’d be without them! This Mother’s Day, we spent some time with a few of the #UberMums who move us, their family, and their city.
ANNA – Auckland
Anna first heard about Uber through her daughter, who lives in Australia. She tried Uber as a rider and decided she wanted to give driving a go.
“Uber fits into my lifestyle wonderfully, I drive when I have some spare time. When I need to help look after my grandchildren, I’m available for that. Now, the spare time I have is productive.”
“I drive an uberXL in Auckland and I have a wonderful experience doing it. I pick up people when they’re going out for social occasions or drinks with friends. They’re always in a good mood and I almost feel like a part of it.”
“I would recommend Uber for other women because the flexibility allows us to work around our children and our home.”
SHERYL – Christchurch
Sheryl was one of the first driver-partners in Christchurch.
“Uber is a great way to work, you can save more money to do the things you want to do. I’m planning a trip to see my daughter and grandchildren in Perth this year.”
“I pick up some fantastic people, have some great experiences. I can recommend Uber for other women. It’s safe and you know who’s picking you up and who’s dropping you off.”
ASHIKA – Auckland
#UberMum of four, Ashika is enjoying driving while her kids are off at school.
“I haven’t worked for five years but now my kids are all older and Uber has given me an opportunity to work. Driving was my hobby, now I get to drive and earn money.”
“I recommended driving with Uber to one of my friends because she’s got kids as well and the hours are really flexible.”
Happy Mother’s Day #UberMUMS! Thank you for making Uber a part of your journey.
