About the Role

 

We are looking for a proactive Supply Demand Operations Program Manager who will take on self-directed tasks such as demand analysis, supply plan development, allocation planning, and material program management. This person will have the opportunity to collaborate across the organization to ensure business objectives are met and lead product supply demand updates to the leadership team.

 

  • Responsibilities include but not limited to master production scheduling, materials planning (Clear to build), inventory control, E & O analysis, material readiness, logistics readiness from suppliers to CM and to our customers.
  • Develop the strategic direction, goals, objectives and key performance indicator to ensure the business goals are met.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Analyze and develop system level and component level demand. Create master production schedules that meet Uber business needs
  • Own & drive the tactical plan for in stock management metrics
  • Improve visibility of material supply status by designing appropriate report, tools, and systems
  • Lead cross functional team including business development and city operations team to build efficient and scalable process
  • Manage the Clear to Build (CTB) process to ensure short term and long term component supply visibility. Escalate to the management team in a timely manner on risks and actions
  • Work with CMs (Contract Manufacturers) and GSMs (Global Supply Managers) on all material related issues until get closed/resolved
  • Work with procurement and logistics team to ensure smooth inventory flow to meet production schedules
  • Identify Excess & Obsolete inventory. Highlight parts with liability and propose solutions to management
  • When ECN or EOL happens, track & audit CM E&O claims. Work with cross functional team to ensure timely resolution
  • Ability to write processes and procedures to improve operational efficiency

 

What You’ll Need:

  • BS/BA, 8+ years materials experience with Production / Planning /MRP
  • Open-minded self-starter with the ability to adapt, improvise, and problem solve under pressure with poise
  • Eagerness to learn and demonstrate value in a dynamic environment
  • Comfortable with making quick, informed decisions with 80% information
  • Excellent communication & negotiation skills
  • Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present to management a must
  • Ability to work independently on multiple tasks and projects, with various teams including engineering and supply chain
  • Open to travel
  • Must be analytical and detail oriented

 

Bonus points if:

  • Technical expertise and prior OEM management experience a plus
  • MBA a plus
