About the Role
The Analyst will be responsible for collecting, aggregating and analyzing data. They will prepare timely reports, which may be in the form of visualizations such as graphs, charts and dashboards, detailing the information they gathered. The Analyst will support the Production Teams in the creation and maintenance of performance and runtime metrics.
The successful candidate will turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions. You will be part of the team that measures and improves on the quality of our map product. This position is for the person who is seeking a challenge and the opportunity to help steer the future of Quality and Productivity for AV Maps. This feedback ensures top quality maps being delivered to the vehicles.
What You’ll Do
Perform analysis that is rigorous, correct, and guided by strong data intuition. Be super attentive to the details.
Exercise strong analytical judgment. Recognize how to use the right tool for the right problem and avoid unnecessary complexity.
Communicate insights with clarity, and articulate the “so-what?”. This encompasses strong data visualization abilities.

Own the measuring of the map creation processes
Determine business impact level for data quality issues
Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
What You’ll Need
Experience in data analysis, evaluation, mining or related role required
Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Analytics, Statistics or a related field preferred
Experience/knowledge of project management methodologies and concepts
Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, Statistical Analysis System (SAS), Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS), Minitab etc)
Basic SQL or Query Language preferred
Proficiency in PC software packages
Excellent Analytical Skills: Project analysts work with large amounts of data: facts, figures, and number crunching. The ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Communication Skills: Project analysts are often called to present their findings, or translate the data into an understandable document. You will need to write and speak clearly, easily communicating complex ideas.
Critical Thinking: Project analysts must look at the numbers, trends, and data and come to new conclusions based on the findings.
Extreme Attention to Detail: Data is precise. Project analysts have to make sure they are vigilant in their analysis to come to correct conclusions.
Math Skills: Data analysts need math skills to estimate numerical data
Documentation skills: Document defects with detail, accuracy, and conscientiousness.
Ability to apply common concepts – carry out work according to specific instructions and set procedures
Raise innovative ideas and flag broken processes, constantly driven to improve your area of responsibility
